These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of mystwoodstudios.com and the services we make available through the site (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Mystwood Studios AB (org.nr 559526-7674), a Swedish limited company with its registered office in Solna, Sweden (“Mystwood Studios”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who these Terms apply to

These Terms apply to every visitor of the Site, whether you are:

• a casual reader browsing public pages,
• a subscriber to our newsletter,
• a person sending us a message through the contact form,
• a candidate applying for a role through our careers page, or
• a member of the press downloading materials from our press kit.

If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Newsletter service

Our newsletter is a free, opt-in mailing list operated as follows:

• Sign-up is voluntary. You give us your email address, we send you a confirmation email (double opt-in), and your subscription becomes active only when you click the confirmation link.
• Unsubscribe is available in every newsletter we send and by emailing us at info@mystwoodstudios.com. Unsubscribe requests are honoured promptly.
• Delivery is on a best-effort basis. We do not promise a fixed schedule, a minimum number of issues per year, or guaranteed delivery to any particular inbox.
• Content is at our editorial discretion. We may discontinue the newsletter at any time without notice.
• No SLA. The newsletter is provided “as is” and we make no representations or warranties about its content, frequency, or availability.

How we handle the data you give us when subscribing is covered in our Privacy Policy.

3. Contact form and careers application

You can use the contact form on /contact to send us a message, and the careers form on /careers to apply for an open role.

• Submissions are sent to us by email; we do not store them in our website database.
• We respond on a best-effort basis. We do not commit to a response within any specific time-frame.
• You must not use these forms to send spam, malicious content, unsolicited commercial offers, threats, harassment, or material that is unlawful in Sweden.
• For careers, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit (CV details, portfolio links, prior experience, eligibility to work).

Misuse of the forms may result in your IP address being blocked at our edge or hosting layer.

4. Intellectual property

4.1 Our content and brand

All content on the Site — including text, illustrations, photography, logos, brand marks, layout, design tokens, software, and source code — is owned by Mystwood Studios AB or licensed to us. It is protected by Swedish copyright law and applicable international treaties.

The “Mystwood Studios” name and logo, the “K-World” name, the Kaeros universe and its associated characters, regions, races, artefacts, and lore (the “Brand Assets”) are the property of Mystwood Studios AB. All rights are reserved.

4.2 What you may do

You may:

• View, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not remove copyright or trademark notices.
• Quote short excerpts (a few sentences) of our written content for the purposes of criticism, review, news reporting, or academic study, provided you give clear attribution and link back to the source page.
• Use materials supplied via our Press Kit only for the purposes set out in the press-kit licence (typically: news reporting and editorial coverage of Mystwood Studios). Commercial use, merchandising, derivative works, or use in a way that suggests endorsement requires our prior written consent.

4.3 What you may not do

You may not, without our prior written permission:

• Reproduce, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit Site content beyond the limited uses above.
• Use the Brand Assets to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
• Create derivative works based on the Kaeros universe (fan art and personal sketches are tolerated as a courtesy and are not commercial use; this is not a licence and may be revoked at any time).
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest the Site beyond standard search-engine indexing.
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts, AI agents) to submit forms.
• Use the Site to train a machine-learning model on our text, images, or code.
• Harvest email addresses, contact details, or names from the Site.
• Attempt to impersonate Mystwood Studios, our staff, our contractors, or our partners.

4.4 Submissions you send to us

Anything you voluntarily send to us via a form (your name, message, application) — you keep your rights in. We use what you send only to respond to you (or, for applications, to evaluate your candidacy). We do not republish, share, or licence your submissions to anyone outside the recipients identified in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any Swedish or EU law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, its networks, or any other user’s enjoyment of it.
• Bypass, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Site.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site without our prior written authorisation. (If you find a security issue, please report it responsibly to info@mystwoodstudios.com — we will work with you in good faith.)
• Use the Site to transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.

We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, suspend or terminate your access to the Site if we believe you have breached these Terms.

6. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site’s accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability.
• We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• Information published on the Site is for general informational purposes; it does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or technical advice.
• The Kaeros universe is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to real persons, organisations, or events is coincidental.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Swedish consumer law or other mandatory law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mystwood Studios AB will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage — including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or business interruption — arising from your use of the Site.

Our aggregate liability for any direct loss arising from your use of the Site is limited to one hundred Swedish kronor (100 SEK), except where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.

Statutory consumer rights under Swedish law are not affected by anything in these Terms.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mystwood Studios AB, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The 1980 United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site shall be exclusively resolved by the Swedish courts, with Solna tingsrätt as the court of first instance — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence entitles you to bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform for out-of-court resolution of disputes arising from online transactions.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
