Mystwood Studios is the Stockholm-based home of the Kaeros universe — coloring books, roguelite games, and the upcoming novel A Balance Lost. Founded in 2025, the studio publishes everything tied back to one shared world.

At Mystwood Studios, we craft immersive universes that spark curiosity, critical thinking and imagination — through enchanting games and beautifully illustrated story and coloring books for all ages.
From whimsical adventures to dark fantasy realms, we bring unique stories to life, One Page and Pixel at a time. Our vision is clear: to build a universe where creativity knows no bounds.
Our story
It started when the world stopped
Mystwood began during the Covid years, when the world was indoors and a child in the family drew her way through it — round, friendly, kawaii-style creatures. The drawings were good. What stayed with us was her face when she showed someone. That moment is still the brief we work to.
It raised a question we could not put down: why is so much made for children either thin in story, or built to keep them tapping, or anonymous enough to forget by the weekend? Our first answer was one coloring book — prototyped fast, printed cheap, handed to about thirty children, and then watched. What we learned in those afternoons was consistent enough to start a company on.
Mystwood Studios AB was registered in Sweden shortly after, with a wider remit than that first book: build one world and tell it in every register — K-World for families, Kaeros for older readers — and grow it slowly, one product at a time. Lore first, then the art, then the things that carry them. Every book, dev log, and game decision answers to the same canon.

The K-World family line, all set in Kaeros — coloring and activity books, bedtime tales, journals and diaries, and more. Led by K-World Vol. 1: gentle creatures and characters for kids to color, read, and keep.

Clear the Skies is the first — a vertical roguelite where every run rebuilds the kingdom. Two more are in development.

A Balance Lost is the upcoming first novel — the Fallen Star arc of Era VI, following the mortals caught up as the balance among the Celestials breaks.
